It officially happened and we talked about it.
We also talked about Father's Day, guessing real estate prices, and lots more. It's not all doom and gloom, but we couldn't ignore the Supreme Court.
We hope you have a good week - talk again soon.
Bridget & Nick
Woo guys, champagne. Well, this isn't champagne. You're not that special, Bridget. Thanks. Oh, let me tell you about what I drank on Father's Day. That later. But uh actually it's Saturday of Father's Day, because we all celebrate on the eve, right? But champagne, it's for celebrations, it's for sadness, it's for everyday. Because you know what? We're drinking to the sadness today. Bubbles just make you happy. Did you know it is Nash World Fairy Day?
SPEAKER_02What the hell is that?
SPEAKER_01It is a celebration. Oh, I had this in our daily huddle. Our our one worker, Shar. Fairy, like a fairy boat? No, like F A I, like Tinkerbell. Oh, Tinkerbell, great. Is always wearing these fun headbands and she has some fairy wings and stuff. And I ended this this meeting today. I said, Shar, gonna end this by saying, I'm really mad at you. She goes, What? I'm sorry. And I said, It's World Fairy Day, and I would have thought you would have worn your wings to spread your little fairy dust of joy for all of us because you're such a lovely human being. And uh everybody laughs, but just remember, today spread your fairy dust with some bubbles and make someone happy like Tinkerbell.
SPEAKER_02Well, that was a stretch, Nick.
SPEAKER_01Uh, it's just been a day of a couple days of you trying not to laugh too hard at the ridiculousness that I'm doing.
SPEAKER_02I was just waiting until we could take a break so I could then tell everybody that that was a stretch. Um, we're drinking bubbles for our troubles. I am not wearing a hot dog costume. That was fun, though. I just re-looked at those. We recorded some really great hot dog costume wearing videos. We had kids yelling at Nick saying, hot dog guy, hot dog guy.
SPEAKER_01Things a 10-year-old can say to you that you can't say to a 10-year-old. This is like a uh pardon the interruption, or not uh uh whose line is it anyway thing. Things a 10-year-old can say to you that you can't say to a 10-year-old. Eat me, hot I want to eat you, hot dog.
SPEAKER_02I want to eat you, hot dog man.
SPEAKER_01I want to eat you, 10-year-old kid. Very weird. Very weird.
SPEAKER_02More on those videos later if you keep an eye on the Lake Geneva Country Meet socials.
SPEAKER_01Keep an eye out. If you want to see Nick in a hot dog costume doing not once, but twice, we're gonna do it. Some things.
SPEAKER_02Uh, okay, man.
SPEAKER_01Should we just dive right in? This is kava. Can I talk about the wine just a little bit? Oh, sure, I guess. This is kava. It is a gran reserva kava that doesn't suck. It is brute nature, so no sugar added. Uh well, actually, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very.
SPEAKER_02I was just looking at your description on the outline. It's very clear.
SPEAKER_01It's sumaroka. My friend Andy imports this.
SPEAKER_02Oh, hi Andy. I think it's good. Yeah, I think it's good too. It's like 18 bucks. Oh, all right, great. I just had some great bubbly rose the other day, so glad to have bubbles. It's hot out.
SPEAKER_01On the other hand, I drank a $150 bottle of champagne for Father's Day because you know what? You only live once. YOLO. Father's Day, how was it? It was very special. Very special. I Saturday night, I kind of got into full effort mode. Uh I was like, you know what? I got this wine sitting around in my basement. It's a 2004 vintage pole roget. Oh, Nick's favorite. Uh it was, it's on its way out. Like, it needs to be drank. So we'll probably drink the other bottle probably before New Year's and move on to the next vintage of special pole roget. Oh, okay. For New Year's. Uh, you know, because we just kind of stock up. Don't we all? No, we don't. This is the only thing we don't go on trips, okay? Except for Disney. We spend our money on. We haven't gone to Disney in six years. Whoa.
SPEAKER_02I haven't been to Disney since I was in second grade.
SPEAKER_01Well, you know what? You need a little fairy dust in your life. Tinkerbell. I have other places I want to go. Uh well, you can go all the way around the world there. It's incredible. No. It's incredible. It's a fabricated reality. Anyway, and then we drank a bottle of Anthony Truchard's Old Block Pinot Noir. Also delicious. Very good. I maybe woke up at six o'clock in the morning for Soggy Bottom Club. Well, I not specifically for Soggy Bottom Club, but I'm just gonna call it that because it it intersected. Because that's what it is. I woke up. Simona was very excited. I spent all week saying, we're gonna do this, we're gonna do this, and you know, setting the expectations. I hear that's key with kids. But also not telling them things that could disappoint them. And uh I was like, oh my god. Yeah. On one hand And it was the day you could have slept in, man. Probably shouldn't have drank two bottles of wine. Mm-hmm. I mean, I drank one, Sarah drank one because we drank two of them together. Sure. So just one full bottle. Makes the dream work. Did it work? And uh, but you know, it was great. It was great. Yeah. I got some caffeine in me. More on that later.
SPEAKER_02More on that later. Yeah, man. Um good. I uh you mentioned Soggy Bottom Club. That is a thing that my dad uh does with our grandkids. It started when Elliot was the only grandchild, and he used to take Elliot from us on Sunday mornings and let us sleep in. And it he just took Elliot down to by the beach, and it was just the two of them play in the sand and in the water till the beach opened to the public and the chaos began. And it was like the best treat that I don't know if my dad realized he was giving us. And now it's a whole big thing. Now all the grandkids go, we join in. Nick and Simona were there this year. It was great. I mean, it's so fun.
SPEAKER_01So my favorite thing to do for Father's Day, my favorite thing to do in general is I love as a local Sunday mornings, 6:30, 7 o'clock, library park. It is so beautiful, so peaceful. And it's all other people like you that are like, I love this place.
SPEAKER_02I hate it at 9 a.m.
SPEAKER_01I hate it at 9 a.m. And it's just like a very clear, like asshole check of people are like, You're cool. You're cool. Yes. People like have these very like the best part of a small town conversation of a random stranger coming up to you and be like, Hey, happy Father's Day. Good to see you and your daughter. Yes. Um, and like even not on Father's Day, like Simone and I will go for a walk, or like we grab a donut or something and walk around and we just love it. And like it's very special to me. Yeah. And you'll run to whomever with a dog and they'll let you pet their dog, or so like, oh, how old's your dog? And like you can just have these very lovely moral of the story, people are kind at that hour. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And and then it's just like Yeah, it is literally just this like quaint thing. I would say up until eight. It starts getting hairy around eight after. Which is insane. But yeah, so that's that's fun. That's a great morning.
SPEAKER_01It's when the Christian churches that start at 7 o'clock right out.
SPEAKER_02When it's when the 7 a.m. mass lets up.
SPEAKER_01Some people go to church. Simone and I go to the lake and say thank you to the channel. It's when the tourists wake up from their hangovers. Uh, I really was considering going to the hangover bar thing. What's that? You know, there's this bar now that for $200 will give you a saline IV, right? Oh, the oxygen bar or whatever. Yeah, it's a different one. Because our friend Aaron, the PA, has like offered to do it for a portion of the take. Really? I've considered like Mother's Day wine walk we gave her, I was like, oh, you've never got a saline solution when you're hungover. No. Oh, it's you need to do it. Just gonna muscle through it, man. I'm an adult. No, the real adult move is. Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_02Medically handle it. Not medically.
SPEAKER_01But Aaron, you know, she's a PA, she's a doctor, she can stick you, she can prescribe you. Good point. And so I really think next Mother's Day wine walk, we need to do it maybe on Saturday. And then like and book you guys a hotel on Sunday morning.
SPEAKER_02Aaron, who gives us all Saline. Aaron can hook you guys all up. I mean, I'm here for the Mother's Day Wine Walk on Saturday. Just saying. She she could definitely hook that up. I mean, okay. We uh we celebrated our Father's Day on Saturday this year. Did you? With my like family of four, because Tyler's request was to go to medieval times.
SPEAKER_01So I wasn't sure if that was again or if it was a TBT. We have been multiple times. But I know that's his favorite thing in the world.
SPEAKER_02Uh we went when Elliot was just a couple months old. And like, yeah, he was a baby baby. So, but this time we knew the kids would love it, and it was awesome. If you've never been, you don't have to like care about that stuff. I don't care about it. It is so fun.
SPEAKER_01Tyler and I went to Top Golf once, which is like down the road from there. And we both had a time frame and he continues like checking his watch. He's like, Could we make it? I think we could catch the medieval. I'm like, Tyler, what are you doing? And it was like during lockdown where like Top Golf could be open because they're on outdoor activity. Yeah, not medieval time.
SPEAKER_02And I'm like, Tyler, what are you doing? Yeah, he's not kidding, man. He would go every weekend. Although I will say it's not cheap. Um, but for what you get, I think it's totally fine. Yes, well, and there's always group ons, but once you go, you got to plan to spend another like $150.
SPEAKER_01Like we bought this shit for our kids. Like you're giving me crap about Disney World.
SPEAKER_02I know. We did, we and I mean, Tyler, love you. I but I actually I wanted to do it too. The kids, it was so fun. And like you can go buy alcoholic beverages, which we did for Tyler, of course. Anyway, it was super fun. I highly recommend. Should have made that my product recommendation.
SPEAKER_01So uh thus ends the happiness. Yeah, those things were fun now. Uh what dropped this morning, uh, Roe v. Wade officially overturned. And uh I just want to say in Clarence Thomas's consenting, which evidently isn't a matter anymore. It's a joke. Uh anyway, in Clarence Thomas's consenting opinion, he said, I want to make sure I get this right. That so the thing about this has always been it's not just about abortion. It's about much more because they're using the way that this was decided to roll back other what have become rights. He said, in addition to this, um Griswold vs. Connecticut, which is the right of married persons to obtain contraceptives, Lawrence versus Texas, the right to engage in private consensual sexual asks, and Oberfell versus Hodge, uh, the right to same-sex marriage are also wrongly decided.
SPEAKER_02Really? Yep. I didn't read that far into it.
SPEAKER_01I couldn't uh pull it off. Uh because meaning So actually, to be fair, he lists those all out and he goes, um, he said these are not at issue. But then two sentences later, so he lists them all out and says what the rights that were decided in those cases were. And then two sentences later, he says, for that reason, in future cases, we should consider all of this court's substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Oberfell. Substantive due process is a way of reading the 14th Amendment, which um guaranteed due process of law to everybody, including black people, um to everybody. The case he didn't this is why I think Clarence Thomas should go die. Um word is next to the case. One of the cases that use substantive due process to rule something is a case called Loving versus Virginia, which stopped anti-misogynation laws. If you don't know what that fancy law word is, it means the right of white people to marry black people, and vice versa. Clarence Thomas is married to a white woman. He's a black man. So he conveniently left out the case that allowed his marriage to be legal. Loving versus Virginia occurred in Virginia, which is where I believe he lives. The judges have made it.
SPEAKER_02I had my kid home this morning uh when this happened because summer parenting while you work is hard. Um, and he didn't have care this morning. So he was at home when this happened. My mom was coming over to pick him up. And my mom comes from a generation where you don't exactly like share all this stuff with your kids. We believe in talking about like the world with our kids. Well, uh what I what I learned from the 10-minute interaction of like, because I was like, motherfucker, I saw this come up on my phone. You know, I said it out loud so my mom heard it. And then Elliot was listening. He's six, he's very smart, and he asked questions. What do you mean, mom? What is it? What's going on? And well, we did not explain, like what you have to do, what we choose to do when we're explaining it to our kids is simplify. Like, I don't believe I need to explain abortion to my six-year-old, but I do need to explain that my right as a woman just got taken away from me. And he was like, Well, what do you? And then he drilled down. And I could see my mom getting uncomfortable because this is not something they grew up explaining. But I fully believe in being like, hey, this is what happened today, and this is why it makes me sad. And he was like, Well, then you know what he said. Bless his soul. He please don't judge him. Well, dad can make the decision for you then. And I said, No, no, no, no. Because I was trying to explain that men can make these decisions, women, and I said, no, no, no. Daddy and I make decisions together, or my body, my choice, you know, it's so it was really fascinating to me and horrifying to have to explain this to him. But it's really humbling when you have to break things down and explain it to a six-year-old because it's so simple when you explain it to them, right?
SPEAKER_01The to be clear, this decision uh that would that straight up explicitly now Clarence Thomas is not the majority opinion, but I do believe he reflects the opinion of the majority, if that makes sense. He said couples cannot decide to get a state. To be clear, he said, I'm not making it illegal, but I am making it legal for states to decide this. Yeah. He made it legal for states to say, you know what, we've decided vasectomies are a illegal medical procedure. So man, guess what? He's coming after you too. Um if I was California. He said they're illegal? He said it's legal for a state to make vasectomies illegal. Illegal. Oh. So California, if they wanted to prove a point, like Gavin Newsome's talking a big game right now, and I wish him all the best. Um Joe Biden needs to go, by the way. Uh but I think California should just pass a law that's illegal to get a vasectomy. Can get an abortion, but can't get a vasectomy. Interesting. If you think if you're married and your wife's on birth control and you support this ruling, guess what? You support your wife being off birth control. Hope you Oh, wait, and also condoms can be outlawed.
SPEAKER_02Right. But there's literally no way to control family planning. You can just not have sex. Right, right. We are we are living in I don't even know how many hundreds of years ago. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know my history, you guys. Is this I had to stop watching Handmaid's Tale, but I feel like we're living in Handmaid's Tale.
SPEAKER_01We're living in Handsmaid's Tale. Yeah. Uh Amy Connie Barrett was widely criticized for this. And guess what she did? What? This. I mean, to be fair, the Republican Party, Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell have been very clear that this is what they wanted to do.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. Um, Washington Post has Wisconsin as an uncertain state, which I think is wrong.
SPEAKER_01So we haven't changed this law since the state was founded. And it's an 1848 statute or whatever that abortion is illegal. Josh Call is the AG is trying to get it changed.
SPEAKER_02Um the states, yeah. This map is fascinating on Washington Post.
SPEAKER_01So it hasn't been tested because generally, if a law is from 1848 and just hasn't been enforced, courts are hesitant to enforce it. And Wisconsin courts are deeply divided between Madison, Milwaukee, and the rest of the state. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So it really kind of depends on um, yeah, which like you know, this past past year's election surprised all of us, I would say. But interesting, the states that are uh very likely it says trigger ban to take effect within a month. None will shock you. Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, all states you couldn't pay me enough dollars to live in. North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah. I missed a couple. Missouri. Yeah, wow. Okay. Anyway, so fuck this. Like, I cannot believe this is happening in our lifetime right now. But here we are. Right on the tails of COVID. I had to take a hundred COVID tests this morning, too. My family, my my kids were sobbing this morning. We had to shove these q-tips up their nose, but we're still in that world where we have to do that to make sure we can see certain family members. And it was miserable. So it was just been a shit morning. So here we are chugging this uh super fancy kava.
SPEAKER_01Uh I would not give any to Clarence Thomas if he was dying of thirst.
SPEAKER_02Actually, this would not hydrate him.
SPEAKER_01Actually, I would, yeah, because it would dehydrate him. So there you go. Here you go, Clarence Thomas. Let me get you some rum. Just like something to make you even more hungover, dehydrated.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we're here to help. So, anyway, uh, in case you hadn't heard that news, you will have heard it by the time this episode airs. And if you haven't, uh get on the news, everybody. That's kind of a big deal. Very, very okay. We ready to move on. Do you need to spit anything else out? Do we need to get anything else off our chest?
SPEAKER_01Thanks for coming to our therapy session. You know, the other ruling they did is that you can't regulate concealed carry guns, right? Oh, stop. We're not getting into guns.
SPEAKER_02Because actually, there was a good thing that happened too with gun control.
SPEAKER_01I think like you should people should be able to have guns. Like, I'm I'm for guns. Guns are fun. I look for guns. You shouldn't be able to just carry an AK around with you all the time. You don't need an AK ever. And like, you know. I mean, really, what do you need it for? There are legitimate reasons for people to have concealed carry permits. There are very legitimate reasons for that. But you know what? There's a lot of not legitimate reasons for it, too. And the state should be able to say, like, you think the aliens are coming to get you and you want a gat so you can shoot them?
SPEAKER_02It's not gonna help.
SPEAKER_01No. You're a mob informant and you think someone might come and whack you. Okay. No, that's your fault. You put yourself in that position.
SPEAKER_02Well, you know, mob informants also are carrying illegal guns. But if you're like a cop mob informant. Okay, we're moving on. I have a riveting article to share with you guys. Um, maybe 50% of you will find this interesting. I am fascinated uh by influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, etc. Uh, as I went to college and studied marketing, advertising, you know, billboards were a thing. You know, it's it's very interesting to me.
SPEAKER_01Billboards work. Tristan Christmas dictator.
SPEAKER_02I know. Every time I say anything about billboards, I'm like, Tristan's gonna yell at me if I shit talk billboards.
SPEAKER_01We were at, we had a dinner with Tristan, and we're driving home, and we drove past one of his billboards. At the bottom of my hill? No, no, no, no. Coming down 50. And Simona lost it. She's like, Tristan!
SPEAKER_02Yes. I see him every day at the bottom of my hill. Um, so anyway, uh, many influencers talk about meal delivery kits and you know, different ways to eat healthy at home. One of the big uh things they talk about is called daily harvest. And I've looked at it because it's tempting. It's like, hey, take this whole bowl, throw it in a blender, and you have your smoothie. And like, duh, yes, I could create my own smoothie kits, whatever. It is a full-on convenience. However, it's packaged beautifully. It makes me feel like it's healthy. Like it does, it's marketing is great. It's working. Well, it was working until June 22nd. Then daily harvest French lentil and leek crumbles, which I know sounds weird, but I bet it's delicious. It got recalled due to food poisoning. So all these influencers that were eating this dish and were talking about it were getting sick. And so now there's some that have gone out and bashed it publicly. And like I know their contracts, I'm sure these are breach of contract. Um, but I'm interested to see. So two days ago, as of when we're recording, is when this broke, like mid-day. This is hilarious. And um, I'm really interested to see what happens specifically in the influencer culture. Like, are all of them just gonna error negate their contracts? Are they still gonna uh pretend like nothing happened? You know, because people turn to, or at least I I pay attention to what happens on social media, specifically like, hey, when Roe first wait happened, right? A lot of influencers choose to ignore it. Like, let's just ignore that this giant life-changing thing happened. And many, all of the ones I follow are women. So half of them, you know, don't want to touch their brand, so they don't talk about it. Or they put up one slide with like a black heart and it says, like, thinking of all the women or whatever, you know, some bullshit. So it's fascinating, and I'm so curious to see what happens with Daily Harvest after this. It was all over Reddit.
SPEAKER_01Can't believe you missed it. Um, I've heard that HelloFresh is really bad to influencers too. Yes. Uh I read some story about how someone got cheated out of $5,000 by HelloFresh. I know it intimately, yes. So I, you know, influencer marketing can be weird. It is very fascinating. Uh I know this is supposed to be uplifting, but we're in handmade tale. So my God. Uh I'd like to share another hilarious story. So the World Cup is gonna be in Cutter this year. It's supposed to be happening right now, but because Cutter's 172 degrees. Oh, really? So when Cutter got awarded the World Cup, they said, like, hey, it can be cute. We're gonna put, we're gonna have all inside things, we're gonna have hovercraft air conditioner. They no joke said we're gonna have hovercraft air conditioners. Seriously? Yeah, and like they gave FIFA a billion dollars in cash. So like it was a bribe, it's so corrupt. There's been like golf. Yeah, like 1,200 people have died building the stadiums. It's it's really bad.
SPEAKER_02That's great.
SPEAKER_01Um, and so it's been an ongoing controversy, and a lot of countries, um, especially the Nordic countries, have been doing some very public protesting about this. And FIFA, the international soccer thing, much like the IOC for the Olympics, um, is like, if you do any political stuff, we're gonna ban you. And it's like, okay, can't you just take the billion dollars in bribes and be like, oh, let these kids do their protest? Anyway, uh, you can't be gay in cutter, obviously. Uh you can't drink alcohol in cutter. Although they said uh they're gonna have zones for people to drink alcohol. But if you go out of it, you you know, you risk a lashing. Come on. Um the best part cutter has banned sex outside marriage by players and fans during the forthcoming 2022 World Cup tournament. Failure to abide to the rule is equal to a trial of seven years in prison.
SPEAKER_02I see this. Oh, come on.
SPEAKER_01And they said, like, so we're gonna let the alcohol thing slide, but if you have sex outside of marriage, we will monitor your hotel room and we will put you in prison. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02We will watch you. We will watch you morning, noon, and night while you're sleeping or not.
SPEAKER_01So if you're thinking about going to the World Cup this December, don't. I will say I am excited because I do believe America has a game on Thanksgiving. It starts like the day before Thanksgiving. So America's in the World Cup praise. We failed the last time. Which was a joke. But uh so I'm kind of excited because I'll be like, all right, we're gonna watch all the football. It's like my favorite day of the calendar. The rest of us will be watching American football. No, no, no, you can watch all of them because it's gonna be at like two in the morning.
SPEAKER_02Oh well.
SPEAKER_01Well, don't you support Team USA?
SPEAKER_02I don't really care about soccer.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I'll watch it. You can care about curling, but you can I don't care about any of it. Uh so Boxing Day is great because you can wake up at six in the morning, watch the Premier League, watch some random college football bowl game, then watch an NFL game at night. It is so much fun. Everyone's favorite. I love it. Boxing Day. But you know, so Thanksgiving Day is gonna be great because you can watch soccer world cup, you can watch the turkey bowl. I mean, I'm here for the puppy bowl. You can watch the puppy bowl. It's gonna be great. It's gonna be great. So anyway, uh just remember, while America has some arcane laws, at least you can have sex outside of marriage for now. But don't get pregnant!
SPEAKER_00We'll be right back.
SPEAKER_01We're back. We had a slight audio hiccup. Thankfully occurred on the break. Whoo, we didn't have to redo our whole soapbox. I mean, maybe that would have been for the best. You're you're right. I'm sorry. I just I'm very angry.
SPEAKER_02But here we are. Here we are gonna talk about things that have nothing to do with the real world. And I'm here to tell you about a great place. Uh to I've talked about this uh company before, but I'm a big fan of companies that do a great job marketing. And societysix.com, it's the number six, society number six.com. They have an awesome, I buy tons of art from them, um, but they have clothing and tote bags and I mean they have everything, okay? Let me be clear.
SPEAKER_01Also, it's last call for 30% off. Oh God, they have three followers.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes. So there, but what I was gonna say, I'm on their email list and I check their emails every time. So whoever's writing their emails, the subject line grabs me in and they're because they do a great job uh with their sales, to be honest. And their pricing's already really great. It's um if you are an artist, you can submit your work to be sold on like a sweatshirt, and then you, you know, they do all of the shipping and such. Yeah. It's like Amazon, but better. It's like being an Amazon FBA seller, but better. So society6.com, actual independent artists, uh, really fair pricing and beautiful stuff. Everything I've gotten has been really high quality. Love it so much. There is a sale currently, and also there's sales all the time. So sign up for their emails. Nick is showing me other great products.
SPEAKER_01Um so as part of uh Foggy Bottom Club. Foggy. Soggy bottom club. Foggy bottom in DC. Uh also you're hungover. These people. Uh Sean, poor Sean, forgot his coffee. I know, dad. Because he had grandkids, man, wild and in quick trip. And he's like, Oh, I forgot my coffee. And various people are like, oh, go get you coffee. He's like, No, it's okay, it's okay. He clearly wanted coffee. Oh, for sure. Clearly wanted coffee.
SPEAKER_02He's where I get it from.
SPEAKER_01And Smona was like a little not sure. And uh, I've been meaning to try Avant's coffee, and I felt for Sean because like he's trying to do this nice thing for his grandkids. He was kind of like many of them. Uh so I was like, I'll go get I'll go get Sean some coffee. And uh so I got the coffee from Avant. It was super kind. I got the uh they don't have much information about their coffee on here. Which one did you get? I got uh what you told me to Gray Beast, maybe? I don't know. I just said I want what did you tell me to order? I don't remember to be honest with you. Someone rewind, listen to two weeks episode on the episode. Let's scroll through a week of text messages. Uh just like I said, I want a dark roast black coffee.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I think I probably told you to just get their darker roast. That's what I said. Because even their darkest roast isn't that gross. It was good.
SPEAKER_01It was good. It was good. It was uh uh compared to Blue Healer, it was like similarly flavorful, less astringent. Uh but the best part of this was the girl behind me. Oh yeah, man, this was awesome. That wanted a coconut flavored coffee, not coconut milk, not a latte. She wanted a coconut flavored coffee. So I'm in here with Simona, like, okay, I don't know what I'm ordering, but like I need I need coffee. Just the black coffee. And the girl's like, um, do you want this in a carrier? I'm like, I have a baby in one. I mean, she's not a baby, but you know what I mean. I have a kid. I have a small child in one hand, so yeah, you think I'm gonna carry two coffees with like, come on, lady.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that was kind of her.
SPEAKER_01But like, obviously, I wanted in a carrier. She was like questioning, do I need one?
SPEAKER_02Yes. Take the verbal cute. My dad hates characters.
SPEAKER_01Characters, carriers. Take the nonverbal cute lady. Oh. Uh also we had an orange juice for Simona, so I had three drinks. Okay.
SPEAKER_02So, like, but can we go back to the coconut coffee lady? I'm getting to her. Oh, okay. So I thought you were done. I was like, that did not give her justice.
SPEAKER_01So I'm like gathering my stuff, like, okay, let's go, Simum. And like influencer-looking lady. She's probably on society6.com or something. Hey. Uh she she probably is food poisoned now. She's like, Saily Harvest. I'm looking for your coconut flavored coffee. And um Barista, who was like, fine, not great, not bad. Yeah. Fine's like, do you mean like a coffee that has coconut notes or like coconut milk? We have coconut milk. What are you looking for? And she's like, no, like your coconut flavored coffee. She's like, we don't have a coconut. She's like, I just want the one that tastes like coconuts. And at that point, I'm walking out, trying not to die. What is that? Also, I was like, can I FaceTime Bridget during this interaction? I would yell at her. To see Bridget die. Uh, so anyway, they don't have coconut coffee. Who has coconut coffee? I don't know. I mean, not true, people do.
SPEAKER_02Probably like that $50 olive oil place. Oh, yeah, but people seem to really like their olive oil.
SPEAKER_01Just saying. As far as you know, social media can make anything look like it's going great. That's true. Coconut coffee. It could make it look like Clarence Thomas is like the world's greatest Supreme Court justice.
SPEAKER_02I'm sure our social media is gonna try and target us with that any minute now. So, how was your coffee? It was good. Yeah, it was too good. But it was too hot. It was too hot. Uh so what did you do, Nick? I put it in the lake to cool off. You just like put it right on the edge where I was like, it's gonna fall. It's gonna fall. It's gonna fall. Elliot helped me dig a cup holder. Wow. Did it work? It did work, actually. It worked really well. The water wasn't awful. The air was cold. The air was too cold to be swimming.
SPEAKER_01Uh Lucy May in her full-on two piece. Oh, yeah, yeah. Raving the elements.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, she was jumping right in and then okay, we're getting way off topic of the products. Okay.
SPEAKER_01But Avant's coffee that's drinkable. Uh, we might have more coffee-related content coming up. Um we've gotten a few suggestions that Valentine coffee and Milwaukee might be something to try.
SPEAKER_02It's very good.
SPEAKER_01So if you guys want more coffee-related content, I don't care if you do because I love coffee. Um, we should do the Milwaukee coffee. And the Venn diagram of things Bridget loves. Coffee. Coffee and Milwaukee. Both things. A lot of overlap. A lot of overlap. In fact, it's not even a Venn diagram, it's just one big circle.
SPEAKER_02I have a lot of things to say about like my favorite branded car.
SPEAKER_01Are you recommending Milwaukee as a bronze?
SPEAKER_02It's not my favorite tasting coffee, and I really struggle with that. I really have struggled with that for years. Okay, we're gonna take a break from all these product breaks or product recommendations, and we'll be back with our shit together. Be right back. No promises.
SPEAKER_01We're back and we promised we'd have our stuff together. Well, we realized we didn't have a segment after the break. Whoops. So after a quick potty break, um We came up with two great ideas. Bridget, you've been uh I'm nervous because I don't like surprises. There's a lot of things that cause you stress in your life. I know this. Yeah, for sure. And uh I have pity on you because thank you. There's a lot of stressors in your life that I'm like, man, I got some stuff going on, but not only that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01One of those is your house. Motherfucking house. And you have been spending a lot of time doing pricing on various things. Some might call you an expert on prices of homes. Oh no! So we're gonna play Guess what the house is listed out. Wait a minute. Are you gonna give me a location that the house is in? So these are all houses in Lake Geneva area.
SPEAKER_02Oh shit. Oh, dude. Nicole Puse's house is for sale. I'll tell you exactly how much it costs.
SPEAKER_01So I'm going to uh give you some details. Uh uh, I'm gonna kind of describe a neighborhood. Okay, so people that are not local can understand this. Bedrooms, baths, everything. Good, good. This one is a train caboose. Wait, I'm sorry. This is currently on sale. Yep, currently on sale. Okay, so this crazy ass market. It is a train caboose, literally a caboose that is now a condo. I've always wanted to see the inside of these. It used to be a hotel, now they're condos. It has one bedroom and one bath. Who the fuck wants to live in? It is 500 square feet. It is a caboose. Literally. It is literally a caboose. It's in an okay part of Lake Geneva that's a nice residential, quiet area. Would you say you could walk to town from there? Oh, yeah, you can definitely. Mitchell lives like right across the street and he walks to town all the time. And we'll park there for like Venetian and it's Oh really? Because you forget you can go behind the YMCA, the bike trail goes that way. So you like shortcut everything.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's like a five-minute walk.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Big That's it? That's it. Yeah, I know. Okay, that's a good one. How many dollars? I have literally no idea how much. It's literally a caboose. I mean, I know what it I know what it is, but this market is a bit crazy. So a caboose.
SPEAKER_01It's a caboose. How much would you pay to live in a caboose?
SPEAKER_02I want to say $100,000. $80,000. Ooh, I was gonna say $90,000.
SPEAKER_01Which is what I paid for my three-bedroom, two-bath condominium.
SPEAKER_02Yes, this is what I'm saying. Yeah, but that wasn't in Lake Geneva. That's very clear.
SPEAKER_01That is true. That is true. That is true.
SPEAKER_02But even in this market, this is what like that caboose should probably be $70 top. It should be $40,000. I don't know. Are they nice? Is it renovated? Do you want to see it? I do. Send me the link to that. I'm dying to see the inside of those and like who the hell lives there.
SPEAKER_01It looks like a really bad mobile home.
SPEAKER_02I believe that. I think actually the mobile homes in Pioneer Estate are definitely nicer than that.
SPEAKER_01All right. My tabs. World Cup Cutter will enforce marriage non-sex thing. Our coffee avant and the downfall of HelloFresh. Okay, next one is actually a condo. It is a condominium. Uh nice new condominium development on the outskirts of town, kind of rural.
SPEAKER_02How about the guy selling this?
SPEAKER_01By a park. Okay. And uh so you can walk to the park. Uh it's close to Walmart.
SPEAKER_02Is it Southwind Prairie?
SPEAKER_01Yes. Okay. Close to uh Aldi. Okay, yep. Very familiar with its location, yes. It is three bedrooms, two baths, 2,200 square feet. Uh, you have a second floor unit. So you walk, you know, go up. It does have a two-car thing, garage.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01Uh it is a lot of carpet. Uh I would say a standard kitchen now is like granite things and like nicer countertops. So I would say this is like a slightly below standard kitchen.
SPEAKER_02Well, I've been in those places, so I imagine it's like the basic kitchen that it came with.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Which are like fine, yeah. Yeah, they're they're fine, but like I would not like it because you would hate it. Yes. I'm looking at it and I I'm telling you, I I hate it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're perfectly fine, but not at Nick level. But perfectly fine. Okay. Anyway, three bedrooms, 2200 square feet, two bedrooms. 375.
SPEAKER_01289,000. Whoa.
SPEAKER_02That's pretty low, actually, for that. To me, that feels about right. Well, in a normal market, I feel like that feels right, but it's a high market.
SPEAKER_01Also, I would not be happy with this kitchen for $289,000. I mean, it is a little hard not to. Also, $350 a month HOI fees.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, they do have a pool. They do have a pool.
SPEAKER_02That is true.
SPEAKER_01That is true.
SPEAKER_02That that's a lot of great amenities, and I just happen to know who uh runs those units, which is also why I went a little high. Interesting. $299. $2,200. I don't know. I feel like that's low. I mean, I feel like that's a deal for somebody.
SPEAKER_01I agree. That's gonna be a bidding war. It's a deal in this market. I agree. All right, here's one. It's uh I can't get over this caboose I'm looking at. Where is this house?
SPEAKER_02Look at this caboose is not so bad.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I don't want to live there, but so this house is four bedrooms, four and a half baths, 5,500 square feet on a 1.6 acre lot uh that I cannot figure out where it is because the map if it's where the map is, I know exactly where it is. And it's not where it is. Um it comes with like an Indian statue, evidently. Um, a lot of like Indian in the cupboard.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Um it uh has a lot of built-ins. It's brick with dormers. Wow.
SPEAKER_02Um roughly where is it located?
SPEAKER_01It's been on the market for 15 days. Oh uh it says it's at 1189 Highway 120. 1189. So it's I don't think it's here. So supposedly it's kind of in the country. About a mile north of town. By uh no, it's south of town. So it's like in the middle of nowhere. Okay, so the map is wrong. Yes, this is here. I know what this house is now. Uh so it's in the middle of nowhere in the country. It's about a 10-minute drive to anything in Lake Geneva. That's a huge house. But it's a it's a huge brick house. Yep, 5,500 square feet, huge brick house. Appears to be like a seven-car garage. Jesus, when was it built? A long time ago. It appears to be like 13 expansions cobbled together. 1927.
SPEAKER_02Holy crap.
SPEAKER_01It says it's a one-car garage.
SPEAKER_02What but you thought it was seven?
SPEAKER_01The size of it, yeah. I'll show you a picture of it.
SPEAKER_02Whoa!
SPEAKER_01Okay. So, like, you know.
SPEAKER_02Uh, it looks like the McAllister House. Yeah, it does look like the McAllister House. You're right.
SPEAKER_01Okay, wow, I can't think of where this house is at all. Do you know where the vet is by uh like the what's it the landscape place that we drove by yesterday? No. It's south of there.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm so baffled, you guys. Okay. Brick house, giant. Lots of mature trees. Giant brick house, very private. There's gotta be something wrong with it, right? It was built in the freaking 19th century.
SPEAKER_01I mean, honestly, like there's a huge TV antenna, there's two different satellite dishes on the roof. There's the brick part is nice, and then there's like a uh vinyl siding addition, and then like the garage does appear to be one car, but there's then like three other bays that you could put things in.
SPEAKER_03Wow.
SPEAKER_01Um I just want to go look at this. It's gated. Should we get pre-approved so we can go look at it?
SPEAKER_02There's a gate. Okay. It's gotta be in the 700s. 724. 699! 699! Well done, Bridget! I need to see these. Are you pulling these? Do you follow Zillow Gone Wild? Yes, I love it.
SPEAKER_01That's actually kind of what inspired me. I was like, okay, what's the ridiculous stuff I've looked at recently?
SPEAKER_02If you don't follow Zillogone Wild, there was actually just like a house that I thought was pretty decent for like under 300,000 in Ohio, and I'm like, this must be in super rural Ohio. Okay. Nick sent me the listing. This one I love because this is Do we have like a very average person house on here? So this is how insane it is.
SPEAKER_01Oh. Oh funny you should ask. I'm sending you the picture of this house right now. Okay. So this is a four-bed, two-bath in the sexy Maple Park district of like Geneva by our good friends Kevin and Marine. Uh 1121 Wisconsin Street. So it is very residential, quiet, but except on the shithole house that got redone. Except, no, it hasn't even been redone. Oh no. Uh except on like every day in the summer where everybody in the world parks in front of your house and you can't park in your house. Uh the garage is obviously uh unattached in on the alley behind your house. Uh oh gosh. These pictures can walk everywhere. You can walk everywhere. It is a very lovely neighborhood with very lovely neighbors that are increasingly just renting out their houses because no one can afford to live in this neighborhood. It's very close to a uh playground, very close to a very nice park and uh schools. It was built in 1880. Three years. Yes, the house was built in 1880. 1880. Uh it was redone sometime like probably in the 70s, by the look of it. All of the things. Uh there's a dollhouse in the staging pictures that is uh hopefully it comes with it because it's a very nice dollhouse. That's weird. Uh so four bedrooms, two baths, eighteen hundred square feet. And I'm sure like that includes the dormers and like because there's no way this is 1800 square feet.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it looks like 1215 maybe max. Yep. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Also, there's like z oh, it's so okay, okay, okay, okay. Comes with professionally decorated, fully furnished four bedrooms, comes with two parking places, wood two parking places, wood burning fireplace, two decks, seven chandeliers, ample attractive furniture, couches, chairs, table, including beds, linens, new stainless kitchen appliances, carrying a carry for you. Toaster, bread maker, dishes, glasses, pots. Did Elizabeth die? Someone died.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Um, and the roof is less than five years old. Is uh the four bedrooms an actual four bedrooms or is it like an office?
SPEAKER_01There's no way in hell this is four at the bedroom.
SPEAKER_02That's gotta be three bedrooms, right? With an office. Okay. I gotta think they're trying to sell this 1,800 square feet. It's gotta be like at least 480. More than that. It's gotta be more than that. Actually, now that I think of Tyler's house, I bet it's like 540.
SPEAKER_01Come on, what is it? 589.9. Shut up. Look at the pictures. 589. Oh, the way the interior is decorated is like all the puffy Victorian stuff. Like that nobody actually ever lives in, right?
SPEAKER_02But it comes with all that furniture. Yeah, so you're gonna throw all that out. Oh my god. It does look like wow, their kitchen, I assume this is a kitchen, has that black and white checkered floor. Oh this kitchen photo, it's a galley kitchen.
SPEAKER_01It's a galley kitchen.
SPEAKER_02Wow, it's a rough 589. Oh, and a lilac and pink bathroom. So I I actually would have, if I had my Oh, this bedroom's nice with the twin beds.
SPEAKER_01If I had all possibilities and all the money, I actually would have done a galley kitchen in terms of it would be like a wide open kitchen and all my workstation would be one straight line. Oh, I was like, and then a long um bar behind me. So like you have like 12-person um breakfast bar seating. So you have you know, everything just a straight line, uh, so you can work completely on one line, and which is like the most efficient way.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm sorry, I'm still stuck at this house being almost six hundred thousand dollars. Yeah. I'm gonna ask Kevin about it when I see him.
SPEAKER_01Uh you know, instead like games with a carrot and a bread maker and stuff. I'm like, our friend Elizabeth lives down there. She has a bread maker. No, she doesn't have a bread maker. She makes bread from scrap. She makes her own bread. Uh I mean Elizabeth makes incredible.
SPEAKER_02It does look like they went to what? Like, what's that interior design place in town? Yeah, it looks like they went there.
SPEAKER_01Let's see. Let's find another one.
SPEAKER_02Which is literally the only professional design place in town, so. Right? Isn't it? Maybe not. I have no idea. Who pays for that? Not me. Uh, not me. I'm dying about this brick house still. I want to see the inside.
SPEAKER_01Oh, here we go. This is a good one. A two-bed, two-bath, 1200 square foot condo inside Lake Geneva's only high-rise. You are Lake Geneva Towers? Yeah, you are right downtown in the thick of all of it. Comes with parking spots, uh, tennis court, a swimming pool. Uh, you get to overlook the lake, all of the things, all the stuff. However, it's uh what I've been told is you know, not not the nicest. Like the the building's not that nice? Just like it's you know, like just a building. Oh, yeah. How many have you ever been in there? It's very dated. Yes, very dated. Yeah. Because actually, like I'm not entirely opposed to this building, but Lake Geneva decided we don't want any high rises like this ever again. And so it's just never been taken care of, like if because you know, said he hates it. Oh, does he? I think. So the pool's good. So the pool's good. So two beds, two baths, twelve hundred square feet, all the amenities, five eighty three a month HOA fee, which for all the things is actually like not ridiculous.
SPEAKER_02I have no problem with HOA fees. Because they take care of all the shit I don't like to take care of. My pool, my yard.
SPEAKER_01You have a beautiful lake view. So it is a lake view. What floor is it on? It appears to be the eighth floor because it is 802. Okay. And how many square feet? 1200.
SPEAKER_02Oh. I can tell you what I paid for one in Milwaukee. Which was much nicer. Um currently 1,200 square feet. Lake view. 330. I have no fucking clue what these cost. That's low? That's pretty low. What is it? You want to guess again?
SPEAKER_01No, I have no idea. 480. $899,000. No. $899,000. What?
SPEAKER_02Send me this listing. I guess I underestimate the lake view, but like, guys, this building is not a nice building.
SPEAKER_01They have hardwood floors, and I like it. Dude! I'm looking at this, I'm like, you did the bare minimum to say you have hardwood floors. My laminate floors, I'm sorry, composite floors. I am shook it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Actually, I would have guessed more had I seen these pictures, to be honest.
SPEAKER_01Oh, here's a nice one. Recently redone in the same neighborhood as the ridiculously priced uh paper dolls furniture house, directly across the street, on the corner lot from where the baseball diamond is in the downtown park.
SPEAKER_02Wait, I'm sorry. This condo has hella lake views. I would have guessed more if I saw this. This I actually want to live in this building. I want to live in that unit. For that, yeah, for that one. Yeah. Okay, sorry. Moving on.
SPEAKER_01Uh beautifully done. White and black, all the modern things. The windows. Look at those double-hung windows. My God.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I know what this is Nicole Pease's house. This is $1.6 million. Yes. Yes. Because let me tell you all the details about this chick and her. That's why I picked her. I shouldn't know that. I'm not going to because I don't know who listens to this podcast and it's all rumors. But it's a beautiful house. Um, the house next door is pretty much its twin identical. You know what Elliot said? I pulled this up one because I saw it. It's on Facebook actually, and I pulled it up and he goes, Let's move there. I'm like, Elliot, it's $1.6 million.
SPEAKER_01It's right across from your school. Three bedrooms, two and a half baths, 2,500 square feet, $1.6 million. One block from I'm sorry, $1.65 million. It's insane. To be clear, that's $662 price uh dollars per square foot.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. So I was told, could be a rumor if anyone is listening. I don't know. Built in ATED. I was told that house was purchased by the original owner because she had heard it someone was gonna buy it and turn it into an Airbnb, and she didn't want that to happen, which is great. But I think she's seeing every house around her becoming an Airbnb and now thinking, well, fuck this, I'll sell. Um, would be my guess. It's a beautiful house. It's very like middle finger, like let me put up all the fences and things and trees because it's directly across the street from the middle school. Um, or I'm sorry, the grade school. When we were kids, it was the middle school.
SPEAKER_01I went there, you didn't, fancy parents.
SPEAKER_02I sure didn't. It's a beautiful house. Uh the house next door, no joke. If you look in all the photos, I believe they have not once included the house next door because it looks identical. And then if you go around the corner, there's another house that looks identical. So anyway, good times. Real estate. Wolf.
SPEAKER_01Man. I'm just very confused by how this girl has this much money. It's her family.
SPEAKER_02I know, but uh like I just I have encountered her at many a city meeting. Not many, actually, but she's memorable when she comes to city meetings, let's say. So anyway, I'm gonna get the lowdown when I go to my neighborhood uh family friends uh later today.
SPEAKER_01Do you want another ridiculous one or do you want another here? Let's do a gated community one. Well, I have no reference in that. We're gonna do a gated community one, we're gonna do a lakeside one, and we're gonna do another normal person house, which are incredibly hard to find. I'm gonna eat these pretzels into the microphone. $350,000 max. Oh, there's none.
SPEAKER_02Oh, finding a regular person house right now? No, no.
SPEAKER_01Go pull one up from my neighborhood by me. This one is on Ryder Cup Road. It is in a gated golf community, Geneva National. Oh, I was like, we have Ryder Cup. You are on uh I shocked your dad doesn't live here. Not his thing. Um $324 a month, HOA fees, five beds, three and a half baths, 5,900 square feet. Holy shit. Uh you get uh you're on a golf course. Uh uh, I think your HOA includes your golf membership. No, it can't. Uh I know you have a minimum at the club. How much you have to spend. Yep. Um like country clubs. It is a brick house. It is a ranch. Oh, interesting. It has a very nice outdoor living space uh with a pergola uh and a fire pit. And uh you probably aren't gonna get hit by golf balls while you can watch people hating into a green. Uh it's been on the market for 18 days. I have no gauge of like houses in there.
SPEAKER_02And it's it's a house. It's a house. But it's plus more than five more than 5,000 square footage.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'm not quite sure how it got to that. Is it on the golf course? It is on the golf course.
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna say to me, like 5,000 plus square footage is like a fucking engine.
SPEAKER_01Um I don't understand how it's I sent you a picture so you can look at it. Okay. Like it's a house.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that totally changes. I'm not clicking because I don't want to see the price. So your guess is? Okay, my original guess before you sent me that picture was 1.5. But that's like lofty for that house. Um compared to like the house you sent me prior, Nicole Peace's house. So I'm gonna I'm gonna say 970. 1.15.
SPEAKER_00You were like fairly close. 1.15. I only paid $1.11 million for this.
SPEAKER_02How is this more than a million dollars? Like it is a nice house, but it's it's a house. But also, I guess if it's 5,000 square feet mysteriously. Oh, that's a nice lane, like a very nice backyard. Yeah, the backyard's very nice.
SPEAKER_01The windows are nice. To me, it seems like 950, like something like that.
SPEAKER_02Uh even so, man. That's a lot. In this market, very nice backyard. Yeah, but like or like grill, they have like an outdoor grill.
SPEAKER_01Part of what makes the backyard look so nice is there is an immaculately manicured golf hole in your backyard. So it just like appears to go on a lot longer.
SPEAKER_02Okay. The interior looks pretentious. So I get that, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Here's a house on the south lake shore of Lake Geneva that's stucco in brick.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_01Four beds, four baths, five thousand square feet. Says it's a 40-acre lot, it's not a 40-acre lot. 4D? Uh, yep, it's not 40. You are um in, I think, the Geneva Club, actually. Uh so you have lake access, but you're not on the lake. Uh you can't even see the lake. But it is just like a gorgeous house. Like, if you were to do the high end of high-end finishings everywhere, everything thoughtfully done, beautiful lighting, beautiful outdoor space.
SPEAKER_02So this has got to be in the 900,000s. Am I way off? I love Nick's reactions. I'm only comparing everything now to Nicole's house, which is brand new.
SPEAKER_01If Jeff Anderson was to design a house, it would be this house. Oh my god. Oh, you didn't say I'll send you an actual.
SPEAKER_02What? Oh, I guess you said 5,000 square feet. Okay, I'm sorry. But you don't have lake rights, and this is more than three.
SPEAKER_01Well, you have you have lake rights, but because you're in an association, but you don't actually you're not actually on a lake. Real close to the lake to not be able to see the lake. Yeah, well, because there's trees, because there's beautiful, mature trees in your backyard. Dumb. Just kidding.
SPEAKER_02Wow, okay, it's a beautiful house. Well, it really does look like a Jeff Anderson house. Okay. Um, okay. Oh, there's three bedrooms or three beds in one of these rooms.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01Oh, this is a funny Photoshop job.
SPEAKER_02This is a very lovely photoshop. It's a beautiful house.
SPEAKER_01What room is this? That's the Photoshop job, I thought. Oh no.
SPEAKER_02It's a clubhouse, it appears like. Oh, that's the clubhouse. I was like, is this in the house? Okay. I have no effing clue what a 5,000 square foot house looks like, obviously. Uh, is what we've landed on. Okay. That's where we've landed. But also, if you would have told me the name of the realtor, I know, like, I have a good sense of which realtor is selling what kind of houses. Compass, Wisconsin. Um, yeah. Oh, yeah, I know who Bob Webster is. Because Compass is Keefe. Or it used to be Keefe. So, you know, I did some marketing.
SPEAKER_01They've already uh dropped the uh division of Keith. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I know. Smooth transition.
unknownMm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Okay, guys. Real estate, not my game. Let me tell you how much I hate it. I hate it. How many dollars? How many dollars do I hate it? No, how many dollars for this house? Oh, I already looked at it. Sorry. What was it? Because I guess it was like not even a million dollars.
SPEAKER_01I guess 900.
SPEAKER_023.695. 3.6 is excessive for not having lake rights. I mean, sorry, lake frontage. You used to, slash, I know people that have gotten lakefront houses for 3.6. That's I want to know what our friend Martha's house would sell for. Oh, yeah, in this current market? 10 million? I bet eight at least. Like I don't know how many square feet it is, but I've been in it. It's huge. Let's call Martha right now. Martha, you are live on the air.
SPEAKER_01All right. And finally, a uh normal person house. We were kind of driving by this the other day. It's uh being sold by Renata Greeley, Shore West Realtors Burlington. And her uh tagline on her thing is just got a Renata. Gotta Renata. That's interesting. Okay. Uh it is a brick house uh by your father-in-law on Lake Geneva Boulevard. So a quiet residential neighborhood, not a lot going, definitely the sleepy side of town, no gas stations until Quick Trip finally gets bought, rebuilt, please. Uh no restaurants, no nothing. I think this is direct okay, go on. Uh, near the high school. It is three bedrooms, two baths, 1,650 square feet on a quarter acre lot. Okay. They have a um mini fridge on top of their dishwasher.
SPEAKER_02Um this should be a house that would normally sell for $250, which means in today's market it's $330. $349! This is a $350,000 house currently? Well, they're asking for that. They're gonna get it. Wow. Oh, they do have a mini fridge on top of their dishware. Oh, I have dogs.
SPEAKER_01There's no way this house is worth this. This is a tiny, tiny house with bad rooms.
SPEAKER_02It's just got bad rooms. I mean, $1,600 square feet is fine. Like you would pay it appears to be nice and finished. Do you send me the actual listing? Uh oh, you just sent me a picture. I got it. Oh, with the dog cage. What's with the Christmas weird like Christmas decor when it's clearly not Christmas?
SPEAKER_01Laundry room is in the basement.
SPEAKER_02I'm okay with that.
SPEAKER_01Are you not? It's a nice laundry room. It's a lot of schlepping. Yeah. I mean I think the 69 square feet has to include the finished basement. I'm pretty sure this is very close to my in-laws. I'm pretty sure it's very close to your in-laws.
SPEAKER_02Interesting. You guys, I love looking at the interior of people's houses. That couch is way too big for that living room.
SPEAKER_01Everything is, I mean, their furniture is all way too big for the rooms. But it's like normal-sized, sectional, normal-sized, king-size bed. And it's like, oh, these rooms are tiny. Yeah. Like you're gonna buy it, you're gonna gut it, and you're gonna make it a two-bed.
SPEAKER_02Just gotta get Renata.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Also, if someone from Burlington is selling your house in Lake Geneva, that's never a good sign. It's not a great house. But it's a great neighborhood. An open design. It's it's this open design features a newer kitchen with granite counters. I feel so conflicted. Don't get granite. Everybody, don't get granite. Why? Uh because it's a pain in the butt to maintain. It's a porous surface, so you have to continually take care of it. It doesn't take heat. Um, it looks ugly. Like, cause I mean, I'm not getting granite, I was just curious. You have to pick like a flavor of it, and whatever you pick is gonna look ugly in five years because like it's colored, so it's always the colors are gonna go out. Uh so like go with quartz, like I did, which is heat resistant. You can it's artificially colored, so you can do like a white or a gray or a black, something that's a solid that you can then build around and will never really go out of styles. And like, whatever you need to do, you can make it work. Like we have white cabinets currently, that's in. We like white because it's clean. Yeah, well, you have a kid, so pretty soon you're not gonna like white. Oh, she is clean. Okay. She and uh, you know, but if we want to paint the cabinets later to something else, guess what? The white countertops are still gonna work with it.
SPEAKER_02That is your home lesson from Nick Vorpegle.
SPEAKER_01What I really wanted was sandstone. Oh no. Because sandstone will like take anything and zero maintenance. Why didn't you do it? It's like $70,000. Oh, really? Yeah. I like quartz. That's what we're doing.
SPEAKER_02Quartz is the way to go. I mean, in theory, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_01It used to be cheap, and then like everybody's like, uh ha ha ha.
SPEAKER_02Didn't everything used to be so much cheaper. Okay, anyway, guys, hope we enjoyed your real estate segment with us.
SPEAKER_01I'm glad I came up with this and quizzed you because I would have been worse than you. You did a really good job. I'm impressed.
SPEAKER_02I did an okay job. It's hard to relate to homes that I'm never gonna live in, like the $3.6 million house. One day, Bridget. I don't feel like I ever need a house that big. One day you're gonna sell a lot of HelloFresh. Yeah, you know. Do you ever I think about this all the time? If I like became wealthy overnight, which I know that's not how it works, I don't think I would get like a bigger house, but like I don't feel like I want a giant house I can't take care of slash never go in.
SPEAKER_01We like this house. So what we'd probably do is a small expansion and put trees all the way around us and a pool and a tennis court and be done. That's a lot.
SPEAKER_02That's a whole nother house.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not. The cost of a pool and a tennis court? Well, yeah, but like we don't need a bigger house. We just want a pool and a tennis court. Right, right. Here yeah. Well, to be clear, the tennis court would also be a basketball court, which would be good for Elliot, because I know he's I mean we just use our driveway, like poor people.
SPEAKER_02It could be it could be a volleyball court like regular people. We just use our driveway. Anyway, guys, that's Ben Off. Real estate minute.
SPEAKER_01I feel like we're on a news segment. We'll get the uh like automatic up and down basketball hoop so that Elliot can dunk on it now.
SPEAKER_02I do want automatic blinds. That's what I would do. If I became a millionaire, automatic blinds.
SPEAKER_01My everyday luxury of choice, fresh cut flowers. Oh. Your everyday luxury of choice, automatic blinds.
SPEAKER_02I mean, uh, really, I think I'd pay someone to do my dishes for me.
SPEAKER_01You could hook it up to Alexa. Alexa, close the blinds.
SPEAKER_02We don't do Alexa.
SPEAKER_01We don't do Alexa. I'm actually surprised you do.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I love it.
SPEAKER_02I know. I don't do any of that shit. I feel like it's way too intrusive. You know what? I welcome our corporate overlords. No, which like I'm not against. I just like for some reason. Jeff Bezos. I feel like it would, I don't care that it's listening to me. I just feel like I'd accidentally say something and I couldn't control it to turn it off because it's a robot and it's gonna take over.
SPEAKER_01Do you know how much recorded audio there is of us on the internet that all these?
SPEAKER_02I know, but it's not in my house. They're like, I feel like the Alexa would take like sprout feet and take over, and I wouldn't, and I would lose.
SPEAKER_01Oh, like hail 20,000 or whatever. Sure. From uh just like Space Odyssey.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what I'm referring to. Space Odyssey.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure Tyler likes the movie. Well, guys, we're here to tell you about what we ate. Did you see they found uh a new planet? No, so they found like a new habitable planet that's only like 13 light years away or something, like relatively close. 13 light years. And uh a bunch of people made a meme of like Bezos and Musk, go! Oh my god.
SPEAKER_0213 light years though. Okay. Tell me about what you ate.
SPEAKER_01Uh, what did I write down? Oh, parmesan chicken. Do you want some? I can give you some. Are you hungry? Sounds great.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, I just want to eat my damn pretzels, but we're recording.
SPEAKER_01Uh, so I took some of our garlic parmesan chicken and I got a bigger breast than I thought I was getting.
SPEAKER_02There wasn't any garlic parmesan chicken when I went to buy it the other day. Oh, I'm sorry.
unknownAsshole.
SPEAKER_01So it was like 2.6 pounds of chicken. So I cubed it up and cooked it in some butter. Because you know what goes great with garlic and parmesan? Butter. Butter. This is dairy state. It's dairy month. And then uh it is. I cooked some multicolored rotini, because you know, the different colors are more fun. Tossed that in some olive oil and lemon juice, put the chicken in there, put some peas in there. Sounds delicious. It was so good. It was a Sarah request. Um, but it was just like light summer. Plain noodles and chicken was Sarah's request. Sounds like a Bridget meal. But I mean, there's olive oil and lemon juice, and I'm gonna call those plain noodles. Just a touch of half and half because everything needs you need a little bit of cream to stick it all together. It was nice and light. Well, no, you just like it's literally like a tablespoon. Don't you do that to your personal? Well, I don't do that. Don't you have like half and a half around or something?
SPEAKER_02I definitely never have half and half around. Full milk? Also, not that. Heavy cream? Heavy cream is ideal. I just have milk to have in my cereal and in my kids' cups when they want milk. But Tyler has to have some disgusting thing for Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01He has disgusting creamer.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, add that. It has caramel in it? Oh, then don't add that.
SPEAKER_01It has artificially flavored caramel. So the other thing you can do is uh take your pasta water and a few noodles and like zhuzh it up and sp put that in. I don't do that. I just like but like it adds some weight and texture. Typically put in pesto and parmesan.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, that's great. Yeah, do that too. That I didn't make shit for good food this week. I made an okay meal last night, but texturally it wasn't great. But it tasted yummy and it was good for me, kind of. Had quinoa in it. Quinoa's great for you. Yeah, but also had cream cheese in it. Not a lot.
SPEAKER_00You're giving me shit about my half and half.
SPEAKER_02No, I mean, because you said it was nice and light.
SPEAKER_01Well, no, it is. Like it's like this much. You just need a little bit to get it all like together.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I know, I'm sure it was delicious. It sounds dilapidal. There's some, I'll hook some up for you. Want some? Look it up. Yeah, it's 2 p.m. It's 1 30 pm and I haven't had lunch, guys. What a mess. Okay. Speaking of lunches, I feel like supermom. I'm super mom. I'm not. I just like this is the shit no one prepares you for. What the F kind of lunchbox you're supposed to get for your kid, which I realize doesn't sound stressful until you're targeted with a hundred lunchboxes and you're like, oh my God. Until you're a type A organizational until you're Bridget. I don't like my food leaking on one another. But I bought like they're called Bent Go. So it's obviously a rift on bento, but they're these like bent go lunch boxes. And the reason I got them is because I don't want to dick around with like a hundred different ice packs. And so this one, the the one I bought, and it's Googling it, there's a hundred options. The one I bought This is overwhelming. I can't believe you actually bought something. I did. I know. I just pulled the trigger and I bought two. I bought two because I bought one for Lucy ahead of time. So it comes with like a fitted ice. I don't know. I want to call it an ice pad. It's like an ice pack, but it's the same shape. So it's like three layers. Uh outlawed those. Yeah, an ice pad. No, no kidding. Oh, sorry, you just had a baby. You can't put ice on that. Um, okay, so it's like the outside shell, and then it's an ice pack, and then it's like the divided container. Anyway, I struggled a lot, and now I am nailing the bento lunches, and I feel like super mom because my kids are champions, and like for God knows what reason, they both love hard-boiled eggs and only the whites. And I'm like, I know Nick is making a vomit face.
SPEAKER_01So I can No, I'm not making a vomit face. I'm choking it back.
SPEAKER_02So when you open this lunchbox, it looks like I have my life together. I have cucumbers, strawberries, and egg whites. Okay.
SPEAKER_01And it looks like I know what I'm doing. Why haven't you started an Instagram account about this? Take a picture of it every day.
SPEAKER_02It's fake. Like, I don't know why. There's also Cheetos.
SPEAKER_01There's also Cheetos in their lunch bag. So then just straight up be like, you know, if you want to give a little cheat, because little Tommy was good today.
SPEAKER_02Because little Lucy wanted some Cheetos and she hit me if I didn't give them anyway. I'm really proud of my bento lunches, okay? Momming is hard, and I was really proud of packing these lunches that my kids actually eat, and they look pretty, and everything is divided, and they're using the lunch boxes.
SPEAKER_01I got them. Okay, so my favorite thing about these is uh I'm gonna send you the one I got. So the mouse over on the product images is they give you kind of a slideshow thing. If you're into any sort of web design, you understand like the technical details about this. If you're not, you understand that like if you point your mouse at something, it shows you a couple images. So, like when you do product mock-ups, there's some horrible stock images that have like a laptop and a phone to make it look like you're working. And then they just like put the product in there to be like a lifestyle view. And they have these ridiculous lifestyle view stock images of how they're bent o box bent go. Bent go, I know it's annoying. Boxes go in with them. And it's hilarious from a marketing standpoint of like, oh my God.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I got the Bent Go Kids Chill Lunchbox. And it truly was because I liked the ice pack situation. And I'm very happy with it.
SPEAKER_01I want to get the dinosaur one. We're big into dinosaurs.
SPEAKER_02I would suggest not, I got plain colors, and then I take these and I put them in like a padded, like an insulated lunch bag.
SPEAKER_01I suggest you get the salad container. It keeps um your salad and the toppings separate until you're ready to combine them.
SPEAKER_02So I have considered how much money I want to invest in these for myself. Oh, that is a deal. Let me send you the link. So I put these inside like I put it in a lunch bag because then I want to put like their fork or I put in like a cookie or something.
SPEAKER_01Also, they did a really intelligent thing with how they're doing the uh mobile links and the display. Like because they're doing like the product gallery. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, this salad thing is nice. Okay, guys, that's the second product recommendation, apparently. I'm happy. I do have to say, customer service. The first one, if you don't like empty your kids' lunch out right away, because I didn't, it got moldy. And I wrote- That should not happen. I know. So I wrote them a message and I said, Hey, uh, you know, whatever. And they said, try these couple things. I tried them all and I said it didn't work. They immediately sent me a new one, no questions asked. So good customer service, and I've not had a problem since.
SPEAKER_01You can put stuff into plastic to pro to inhibit mold growth. Like it's very easy.
SPEAKER_02It was on the rubber, like sealant portion. Anyway, that's that, everybody.
SPEAKER_01Did you know at Late Shiva Country Meats? We do active measures to prevent things like that in all of our cooked products. That's so great, Nick. Yeah, it's called sodium acetate, sodium diacetate. Lots of things you can do.
SPEAKER_00Wow. Well, thanks. On that note, it is time for Kid Corner. Well, Nick. Um I got another product rack. Oh, good. Here we go.
SPEAKER_01Uh this is just one big sales pitch. I managed to uh, well, this, okay, I got a bunch. It's Father's Day. I gotta talk about my kid. Um So's doing potty training. Whatever. Every day's Father's Day. No, it's not. Every day is Mama's Day. Um, so anyway, uh, we're doing the potty training. I was like, oh, I got this message that she pooped on the potty or whatever, and I was like, hey kid.
SPEAKER_02You can't take my kid corner.
SPEAKER_01Oh shit. Sorry. Uh so I was like, oh Kim, look, Simona pooped in the potty. She's like, oh, is she doing home? I'm like, yeah, it's just daycare because like the older kids are there and she's interested, and the teachers are like pretty good about it. And she's like, what you need to get are these stickers that change color when you pee on them. I'm like, gross. No. I'm gonna vomit. That was like a pregnancy test. Uh yes. Oh, those are illegal now. Um it's all illegal. Because if you know you're pregnant, you might get an abortion. That's illegal. No pregnancy tests. But anyway, so Kim sent me these stickers about uh ew. Like I know boys have these things where you pee on them with like target practice. I didn't know there were things.
SPEAKER_02Of course, none of the gimmicks worked like that.
SPEAKER_01Uh anyway, Father's Day. Um, I gotta do my quiet morning with my daughter eating a donut at the lake, and that was a lot of fun. It was very important to me. I told her about how much I love her and how important she is to me, and she said, I like this donut. Uh, she eats donuts like an idiot.
SPEAKER_02And I love like every child. I am here for it. Exactly how our kids do it.
SPEAKER_01I am here for it. Because it makes sense. You like eat around the ring, you eat like half a bite, like if you were filleting it. So like you just like cut it in half. That was a fish. Like if you were if it was a bagel and you're cutting it in half to like do a sandwich, that's how she eats. She eats off the half on the top with the frosting first, and then the rest of it if she's still hungry, which is smart. Um, get the good bits first, girl. That's fair. Um, but anyway, so we had a great day, and at the end of the day, she goes, Dad, dad. I want to watch Vader.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_01So we sat out and cuddled up and watched Star Wars. Specifically, we then because she couldn't get enough Vader, we were watching Empire Strikes Back, which is I am your father. I can't clarify that. There wasn't there wasn't enough Vader in it. So then we pulled up YouTube and a like 10 minutes of Vader appearances, including him like doing some, you know, like sabering and stuff. Oh. And we just watched Vader, and she was loving it and giving me love and engaging in a thing I love with her. And it was incredible. And I started crying. Shocker. Because I just love her so much. Oh, Nick. So it was great. So uh Simona last night again said, we said, What do you want to do after dinner? And she said, you know, I want to go play your playground, do you want to go for a ride? What do you want to do? And she said, I want to watch Vader. So we watched Vader again. Dude, how many times did you watch Vader? 100? Well, I mean, like we just watched than 100. We started watching Return of the Jedi.
SPEAKER_02I don't know what that means. Sorry, Tyler, and every man listening that's mad at me.
SPEAKER_01So we just watched Star Wars episode six.
SPEAKER_02The third one that was released. What I hate. Thank you. They're not released in any fking semblance of real order. This one was released, and then these previous ones were made, but they were made before, but not released the right way. I hate it. Give me order.
SPEAKER_01So you are more of a Sith than a Jedi, is what I'm hearing. I have literally no idea what that means. Well, if you like order, you're into like the evil empire. Sure, obviously. You're basically Voldemort.
SPEAKER_02You're evil if you like order. Yes. Many would say that. You probably think Clarence Thomas is a real smart guy. I am here to say fuck you. Sorry for the vulgar language this week. We um Nick's daughter is clearly a genius and potty trained before ours, but she's not. We just not at all. Like, we just subscribed to the same thing that we did with Elliot for Lucy, which was like, we're not forcing the potty training because you're like, quote, supposed to be done, you know, because we forced it with Elliot. We're like, you need to be potty trained before this time. And he kept having accidents and accidents. And so we're like, screw this. Like, he'll be ready when he's ready. And he was, and he did it, and it was way easier to just let him do it when he was ready. So we just like kind of kept waiting for Lucy. We had her in pull-ups, but she did not understand like that a pull-up was meant to operate like underwear, not like a diaper. So she just treated it like a diaper. So finally, blessings to daycare. Anyone considering not sending their kids to daycare should. Uh, because they the teacher was like, why don't you just send her in underwear? Like, I think she just needs to be uncomfortable. And I was like, no, because like you guys will just be cleaning up accidents all day. She's not ready. And they're like, just send her in underwear. I'm like, okay. We sent her in underwear, and in one week, she was potty trained. She had two accidents. Like, we did it over a weekend. And over the weekend, she had two accidents in the morning and then was fine for two days. Then one accident a day. Now she's pooping on the potty, she's peeing on the potty. She woke up with a dry pull-up the last because then for those of you that have not potty trained, we chose to keep pull-ups on overnight, like because that you know, we do that in phase two. She's woken up with dry pull-ups, and we're like, okay, sweet, we're gonna like go ahead and do the overnight, which is like a big step for the parents because that's a lot of cleaning up pee in the middle of the night. Yeah, it's a big risk for the parents. So anyway, I'm just I have nothing really gross to say except Lucy has constipation issues, which we've talked about on air here. She goes the other morning, huh? I gotta poop. I was like, okay, Lucy, runs to the bathroom, sits on the toilet, goes, uh poops perfectly normal. Like a normal human being in a normal-sized poop, all done, wipes her butt, washes her hands, the end. I was like, Do you suddenly poop normally now that you're not doing a diaper? And that was it. Like it the whole process took 30 seconds. I'm like, shit. Anyway, I'm here to uh give all the product recommendation to daycare to help potty train your child.
SPEAKER_01And I like to be clear, Simona's not potty trained. She just, you know, like practices.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, joys. I mean She's with the bigger kids. I'm gonna have a party, you know. Because we're done with diapers pretty soon, man. I gotta wood. What kind of party should I have?
SPEAKER_00Think of all the money I'm gonna save, not having diapers. I don't know. That's a good question.
SPEAKER_02I know. I'm like planning the end of my daycare life and the end of my diapers life. Like, I feel like that's a huge party. That's a lot of money to save.
SPEAKER_01Do you know what type of party you can have in 17 minutes? What type? A peach party. Oh, the peach truck!
SPEAKER_02Oh, I have plans. Getting peaches. All right, guys.
SPEAKER_01Thanks for hanging in there with us as usual. Uh crazy week. Um, crazy week. As usual. Uh nihilism is well and alive here in uh the dinner plus drink studio.
SPEAKER_02But it's almost 4th of July, America.
SPEAKER_01My birthday is in a few days.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01How did I forget? It's on a taco Tuesday. Shit, we should have done a birthday celebration. So what type no. So what type of uh this release is on Michi's birthday. Oh, oh yeah. My little brother-in-law, it's his uh it's his birthday, so we're gonna celebrate Chi Chi.
SPEAKER_02Birthday tacos are you gonna have?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I gotta think about this. So stress, Nick. It is stressful because like there's a lot of pressure for me to deliver like a good taco because it's for my birthday. Right. And I love tacos. Right. If you know things about me, you know I love tacos. Go out for tacos. Let someone else deliver that. Chuck's has great two dollar tacos. Why would I put someone else's control on my birthday? Yeah, wow. Most people want other people to do. I'm like, I know, I'm like, do it, uh, someone else do it for me. This seems like you would be like, no, it's my birthday. I am gonna control it. Because you know, all I want is things to be done the way I want to.
SPEAKER_02You know what I want on my birthday, and no one ever believes me? I want someone else to make the decision. You know why none of us believe that? I know. It's so annoying. Because 364 days. I know, but I'm like, I just don't want to make a decision. So I give parameters and then I say pick within that. And Tyler took you to medieval times. Not just Tyler. I mean, medieval times is fun. Their food has improved.
SPEAKER_01I like the crappy rust chicken thing.
SPEAKER_02Not great, but it's improved. Um okay, tacos. So send it in, man.
SPEAKER_01What should make have? I might do like carnitas because you love them. I love carnitas. I might do street chicken tacos. Um, I'll be at your front door. I might do Al Pastor. Um because why don't you do them all? A medley. I would need to have so many people over.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know, you could just leftovers.
SPEAKER_01Put up a sign like, hey, I cooked a hundred people's worth of tacos.
SPEAKER_02I mean, that makes great leftovers on top of a salad, in a taco shell.
SPEAKER_01I saw a oh, on food news on a food blogger, lifestyle blogger, family blogger, I'm not sure. It's a blogger type that I subscribe to. Blogger type. Her email had a uh chicken street taco recipe with a pineapple salsa thing that I was like, I love this because I am a pineapple person. I like you know, like the pineapple on pizza, I like the Alpastore. So I like all of these things as you're just like vomiting. Pineapple on pizza. I love it. I love it. So I was like, and gen oftentimes if my birthday's on a weeknight, we do go get Hawaiian pizza because it's the one day a year I'm allowed. So gross. I understand why people don't like it, but you're wrong. But but you're wrong. You're wrong.
SPEAKER_02I get it with chicken, I like it with jerk chicken.
SPEAKER_01Oh, it's okay, it balances the spice. So I'm like, oh, I could I could do like this thing.
SPEAKER_02So anyway, maybe Alpha Store maybe Hawaiian pizza or tacos?
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no. It's tacos. It's gonna be tacos, okay. Let me be clear. Friends' dinner that we went to was on a Tuesday, and she did not observe Taco Tuesday, and I'd be like, you're terrible. Like, you know how I know you're a terrible human being, you don't observe Taco Tuesday.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I don't do it always.
SPEAKER_01Sorry. I would say 95% of the time we have something Mexican themed.
SPEAKER_02I know. But you cook dinner like every weeknight like a responsible adult. You don't yet have to run to 500 different activities. You know why I cook dinner? Because you love it.
SPEAKER_01Because the alternative is not great. Hawaiian pizza? No, the alternative is like I'd probably just like Sayonara world. Sounds great. It's therapy for myself. I was like, I don't know what that means. Okay, everybody. On that note, um, we hope you all have a lovely week.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, please ignore the news, turn it off, and go out and enjoy the sunshine. Write your Supreme Court justice.
SPEAKER_01I guess. And tell them.
SPEAKER_02I mean, yes, sure. I I know it will make a difference, but I don't believe it actually will.
SPEAKER_01No, it won't. Um but gotta do something. So have a great day. Uh go get some bent goes. Shut up.
SPEAKER_02Don't knock it until you try it. You guys are gonna have all the organizational shit when someone is in school and needs lunch boxes. I'm all for it. I just think the name's annoying. It is annoying, I'm sorry. But I like it. They look cool. There's all kinds of blogs out that you can read and analyze which one is best for your family, okay?
SPEAKER_01But you can't decide which family playing devices are best for your family.
SPEAKER_00Oh, have a great week.
